Yes! We have always said fashion was about creativity and not just the sewing! Which is why we, at Martwayne, are BIG on designers learning the creative sides of fashion, how to develop designs from scratch, how to work with themes, how to develop a concept from nothing and most importantly, how to draw. And we teach all these from SCRATCH!
Our previous students who have honed in on their skills have been able to create an extra stream of income from developing collections for designers and charging for it! You can also create an extra stream of income by registering for our creative course and learning everything FROM SCRATCH! Yes you can! Take it from someone who also learnt everything she knows right from scratch!
So what will you learn?
The Course is a 3-in-1 course and covers the following:
1. Concept Development in Fashion Design
Just to give a summary, this part of the course teaches how to develop a design from an idea, teaches about mood boards, concept boards, story boards and how to create a whole fashion collection from scratch. It also teaches about colours and fabrics and how to communicate your ideas to your production team using technical drawings.
Student Defence
2. Manual Fashion Illustration
Pretty much learning how to draw from scratch. Learn the 9-head fashion figure, different body postures, design details, faces, hair and actual clothes – all from scratch – starting with circles and straight lines! Really awesome stuff.
3. Digital Fashion Illustration
This is where you learn to create the magic and take your designs from drab to fab using an app. It’s always amazing watching people evolve from basic to very stunning illustrations!

Course Fees and Duration:
Course Fees are N90,000 only and this includes your drawing kit. You will need a tablet or smartphone for the class.
Course lasts 8 weeks and classes are on Tuesdays only from 10am, 2 sessions per day for the weekday option and Saturdays only for the weekend option!
The Course begins on Tuesday 5 June 2018 and Saturday 9 June 2018 for the weekend option.
Manual and Digital Illustration Option only is N75,000 and begins 19 June 2018 for the weekday option.
Manual OR Digital Illustration Option only is N60,000 and also starts 19 June 2018.
