As you start your week, remember the power of grat

As you start your week, remember the power of gratitude. It's easy to get caught up in the challenges and stresses of running a business, but taking time to appreciate what you have can make all the difference in your attitude and outlook.

When we practice gratitude, we shift our focus from what we lack to what we have. It helps us cultivate a positive mindset and opens our hearts to more possibilities.
So, this week, I encourage you to make a conscious effort to practice gratitude.

Be thankful for that business plan you had but haven’t yet executed.
Be thankful for the fact that even if you don’t have a business plan, you know you need one.
Be thankful that 1 person who didn’t know you bought your product, even if it is just 1.
Rather than being sad only 1 person bought from you, be thankful that it, in fact means someone out there likes your product. That is your proof of concept right there. Then you can double up your effort to find more people.
Be thankful for that repeat customer even if they aren’t yet as many as you want.
Be thankful you are still in business.

@jopasdaughter asked me yesterday ’how is motherhood treating you?’ Lol! To be honest, I’m not even sure I have an answer to that. 12 days in and it has been a rollercoaster!

From paediatrician visits to counting the pees and poops. I have never been so happy in my entire life to see a person’s poop 😅 From feeling like a cow in a milk factory to a nanny who jumps up at her every beck and call!

In 12 days, I… no scratch that… WE have been able to distinguish between cries, learnt how to give a bath (though so far we have only managed one alone), changed lots of diapers, sterilized plenty bottles, lost hours of sleep, and the list continues. It has been a completely new world for my husband and I.

BUT one thing is certain, things would not have been this smooth without the amazing help we’ve had from my mum and my sister! I’ve found myself asking so many questions and the training I have received has been awesome!

My sister has been an absolute star! Straight from the airport, she dropped her things and headed to the hospital. She was right there in the delivery room holding one knee while my husband held the other knee, counting and pushing with me. After I felt bad crushing my husband’s fingers, I started on hers. 😅

And the help didn’t end there. From the naming ceremony to the feeding to the bathing and the cleaning up, she was on top of everything! AA and I didn’t have to do a thing! All I did was learn as much as I could.

And even after she left, the calls continue. Is she okay? Should I send this? What do you need? In fact, it’s like she hasn’t left.

She has said it. I am now Grandma 😅 Yes o!!! Here is Grandma Lara with her little princess!
