Wishing ALL LADIES a Happy Mothers Day!

Wishing ALL LADIES a Happy Mothers Day!

http://socialcafemag.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/Happy-Mothers-Day.jpg

This picture says it all!  And that is why my wishes go to not just mothers but every single lady out there who is a mother or potential mother, regardless of age.

You also need to be celebrated because you do contribute and play a role in people’s lives- the same way a mother would.

Have an EXCELLENT Mother’s Day!
My Journey Down Fashion Avenue….:-D

My Journey Down Fashion Avenue….:-D

Times Square, New York…

So during my trip, I decided to do the “touristy” thing and check out the sites and sounds of New York.  Of course I had to check out the stores – especially the 4 stores on Fashion Star – Saks Fifth Avenue, Macys (which I eventually did like 90% of my shopping), H&M and Express.  Of course  I also made a mental note to check out the factories or at least see where a lot of the manufacturing took place around here.
But first…  I had to do some shopping!  So off we went down that loooong stretch of road down Times Square.  I was just still staring at the video displays and the runways on the huge buildings when AA told me “Check out that HUGE needle and button over there”!

Little did I know that I was RIGHT SMACK in the middle of the garment district!  My friend Moji only told me that later.

Don’t you just love this picture of me helping out my fellow “tailor”? 😀

And then my own history lesson began down the Fashion Walk of Fame!  😀

Ok… I don’t really remember the order in which I took the picture of these large err… coins so I just arranged them in alphabetical order.  Oh… I have to make the images really large so you can read what’s on them…

SUCH an inspiration!  I’m sure there were many more but these were the ones I think I could take without really stopping the flow of traffic.  But I enjoyed every minute of it… and hopefully, I can post more pictures of my trip! 😀

Have a great day!

Happy Easter Everyone!!!

Happy Easter everyone!!!  Hope you are all having a restful holiday and reflecting on the reason for the Season… though somehow I doubt that from the tweets I’ve been reading…

So I was searching for nice Easter cards online and realised that most of the nice ones had either an Easter bunny or an Easter Egg on it which I thought would not properly capture my interpretation of the reason for Easter until I saw this one which I thought was perfect…

For me, Easter is not about the eggs or the bunnies (not even sure where the link came from – I really must research that) but about a renewal of our minds and spirit and about new beginnings.  Actually President Obama’s Easter message really captures it:

“For me, and for countless other Christians, Holy Week and Easter are times for reflection and renewal. We remember the grace of an awesome God, who loves us so deeply that He gave us his only Son, so that we might live through Him,”

“We recall all that Jesus endured for us – the scorn of the crowds, the agony of the cross – all so that we might be forgiven our sins and granted everlasting life. And we recommit ourselves to following His example, to love and serve one another, particularly “the least of these” among us, just as He loves every one of us.” – from The Blaze, Oliver Darcy, April 19, 2014

Need I say anything more.

Here’s wishing you all a very Happy Easter!!!  May the love, peace and the grace of the Resurrected Christ fill your lives and homes with special joy and hope for a new beginning and closer relationship with God.

Enjoy the rest of the long weekend!

Cheers!
My Birthday Prayer…. :-D

My Birthday Prayer…. :-D

http://prodimages.hrdirect.com/G1617-Vibrant-Happy-Birthday-Card-Business-Birthday-Card_xl.jpg
Yes yes!  The 26th was MY day!  😀 😀 😀

For those who did not know… just so you know for next year and the years beyond… my birthday happens every year on the 26th of February! 😀  I am so glad I missed the 29th by a few days… But not my brother… He has to wait every 4 years so I’m guessing he saves a lot of money on birthday gifts and parties haha!

But anywayz, as I was saying… the day started out completely uneventful initially.  My birthday greetings had started about 2 weeks earlier for some strange reason.  I think some calendars may have given out the notification a bit earlier BUT it started that early.

So like I said, nothing major happened initially.  I kind of planned it that way.  Went for some meetings and had to put my phone on silent mode.  But the minute the meetings were over, I glanced at my phone and the Hub in just enough time to see the many missed calls and messages before both my phones went dead!

Goodness!  The prayers, the best wishes, the messages, I only could charge the phone for a few minutes at a time before the phones went dead again.  Completely overwhelming!!!!!

And they continued till the next day.  Which was when I discovered this absolutely amazing birthday prayer from my ex-student Daewoo, which I just had to post on the blog…  Reading a message is one thing, hearing a voice in a message is something else.  It was totally unexpected and I was really wowed by it.

Please you all should just listen to this…

No I did not have a party…. but I can tell you that my diet went out the window!  AND I took a forkful of food for every single prayer, call and “best wishes” I got…. well I like to think I did… judging from how stuffed I was at the end of the day.

YES it was a great day!

To all my birthday mates out there, I know you all had a fab day like I did!

Here is a sincere prayer from me to you…. and to everyone who will definitely celebrate one for many many MANY years to come:

To all who took the time out to send me a message, God bless you!  As my friend Rable says pretty much every year, “may the best of your past be the least of your tomorrow”!

Thank you so very much to every single person who made my day!  You all are the best!  MWAH!  God bless you all!

Enjoy your weekend and have a GREAT New Month in advance!

Cheers!
Goodbye 2013… HELLO 2014!!!!! :-D

Goodbye 2013… HELLO 2014!!!!! :-D

Hello everyone!!!  Compliments of the Season!!! I am sure you all had an excellent Christmas!!!  The holiday spirit was clearly more evident this year than in 2012.  I definitely felt the Christmas Spirit in the air.  And for those who didn’t, the traffic leading up to the 25th should have been enough evidence that something was up.

BUT… Christmas is over and we all have something else to look forward to…

2014!!!!!!!!!!! 😀

Yup!  It is clearly a privilege to be alive and well and to be here today.  It is with a deeply grateful heart to God that I am here posting this and you are here reading it! 😀  This year has been nothing short of a roller coaster ride for me.  There I was thinking 2012 was a highlight year… and in many ways it was – but 2013 was even better and for obvious reasons! 😀

To be honest, I’m not really sure why the end of every year is a big deal.  The end of everyday is THE big deal after all, the end of today literally marks the beginning of tomorrow and the New Year.  But nevertheless, it sure is something to look forward to.

To everyone who reads this blog and who has impacted me in one way or the other, either directly or indirectly, thank you so much!  I may not know you in person but trust me, every time my stats counter changes or you drop a comment, I have this HUGE smile on my face… so thank you for that.

For those who may have had a plan for 2013 which may not have materialised, please do not dwell on it… it will happen soon enough! Just keep confessing it and it will happen.  Trust me!  Tried, tested and trusted.  Works every time!

I’ll wrap up this post and this year with the message AA and I put on the back of our wedding reception programme…of course edited to suit the “Season”…

“As 2013 ends and as you start this New Year, our prayers are with you.
May you be blessed as you have blessed others;
May you continue to smile as you have made others smile;
May others share in your joy as you have shared in others’;
May your lips be filled with testimonies of His ever-present goodness in Your lives; and
May the Lord continue to shower you with His love, goodness, guidance and blessing in 2014 and way beyond!.

Thank you so much and God bless you!”

I wish you all you wish yourself and a whole lot more in 2014 and beyond!  Do enjoy the rest of what’s left of 2013 and have a FABULOUS and successful 2014 in advance!

See you or should I say… chat to you next year! 😀

MWAH!

Warmest regards…
